Step 1
Brainstorm the event and audience.
A fundraising activity hosted by an unaffiliated group or individual can reach new supporters while helping BAM's adoptable pets and community programs. From bake sales to themed parties, events of any size can make a difference.

Brainstorm the event and audience.
Choose a date and location, checking with BAM before confirming if BAM resources are requested.
Set a fundraising goal and budget; lower costs allow more proceeds to reach the mission.
Submit the Third‑Party Event Contract and consider legal, insurance, liability, permit, and safety requirements.
Create a day‑of agenda and checklist.
Develop a promotion plan using flyers, posters, and other suitable materials.
Host the event, submit proceeds to BAM, and share photos.
Third‑party hosts are responsible for organizing, funding, planning, promoting, managing, and staffing their events. BAM cannot guarantee volunteers, animals, attendance, mailing lists, email promotion, or payment of event costs. Requests for BAM volunteers or animals are considered case by case. BAM must approve use of its name and logo, as well as flyers, press releases, publications, and other promotional materials. Materials must state that the event is not sponsored by BAM, and the organization must be identified as Because Animals Matter rather than as a shelter or humane society. Approved hosts may request that funds support a particular BAM program.
Schools, offices, churches, stores, and community groups can collect nutritious pet food to support low‑income pet owners through the Hurricane Valley Food Pantry and, when appropriate, animals in BAM's care. Contact BAM before the drive so the organization can coordinate and share it on social media.
Email admin@bamutah.com to discuss a fundraiser or a restaurant or business share‑fundraising event.

Whether you open your home, lend a hand, or rally your community, there is a meaningful place for you at BAM.
