He was found wandering in the border area between Colorado and Arizona by a couple from Spain, on their honeymoon. He was in poor condtion, malnourished & dehydrated. A thorough bathing, provided courtesy of the Doggy Do Pet Salon in Hurricane, was also necessary. He received lots of care in his foster placement to prepare him for adoption, with extra care from Fred & Rita when needed.
18 Oct. '08 update: Border was adopted. His new family have written: "Border is doing great. The kids absolutly love him. He hasn't had any accidents in the house — he goes outside many times during the day. He is doing well with our other dog. She does get a little upset when she is wanting our attention and Border kind of jumps in and cuts her off. But she really is doing well with him and he leaves her alone when she is eating or wanting to sleep. He seems to like taking turns sleeping in the boys' rooms. They love that! He is eating well, and very playful. We love our new addition to our family."
29 Oct. '08 update: Border now has his own Pawprint photo gallery.
