Queensland & Blue Heeler (mix): large/young/male
Trapper was found as a stray, with his right front paw injured after being caught in a steel trap. In an effort to free himself, he chewed off his toes. Trapper had a wonderful personality, and was lots of fun for adults and respectful children. He did snap at younger children. He gets along well and enjoyed playing with his companion dogs in foster care. He should not be around livestock. It was not known whether he can be with cats or not. At times, Trapper would put his full weight on his bad foot, but he will never fully use it. He did better on grass or carpet than on stone, for obvious reasons. He loved to chase a ball, and fetch it most of the time.
09 Sep. '07 update: Trapper was adopted and renamed Sirius.
19 Nov. '08 update: After some problems settling into his new home, Sirius is now doing well. He has taken up singing in his spare time, and when BAM called his human, Dan, he persuaded Sirius to serenade Rita over the phone. The title of the song is not known at this time.
