UPDATE Mon. 25 Jan. '09: Click to see a [snow play] video. Cat writes: "It has now been a month. Today, Sheba &BT were transformed into Snow White and an Ivanohe, when we went to enjoy the snow near Flagstaff. A couple of weeks ago, they went swimming into the Verde River: they need to improve their swimming skills! But they did it! Things are going a lot better; still a lot to learn, but the progresses are fast. They are both great, sweet, loving dogs."

UPDATE Thu. 24 Dec. '09: Click numbers to see more pictures [2] [3] BT and Sheba are moving to Lake Montezuma, Arizona! Cat, their new human, lost her yellow Lab, Kabul, one year ago, just before Christmas. She spotted Sheba on Petfinder and fell in love with her. Of course Sheba wouldn't do well in a home without a companion dog to play with, so Cat decided to adopt Sheba and BT. Picture #3 shows the happy pair after their first night together. Cat writes: "They are playing this morning; last night went very well, and this house is alive again! Thanks."

BT and Sheba have both been in foster care together since Thanksgiving. They are a perfectly complimentary pair. They love to run, play, and sleep together, and they both fell in love with their new owner Cat.

Cat works in forestry, lives near the national forest, and loves to take her dogs on off-leash runs as often as possible. During the summer she plans to let BT and Sheba get their daily exercise swimming in nearby lakes. BT and Sheba are very lucky to have such a great home for Christmas and life time love and care from Cat.

Cat drove to Hurricane, UT, on Wednesday, 23 Dec '09. This morning, Thursday, she signed adoption papers, loaded up the dogs, who were very very happy to jump in her car and go with her, and off they all went. First they will spend Christmas with friends at Lake Havasue, and then they will go to their new home.

What a great Holiday gift for everyone!

BT: Yellow Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever (mix) large/adult/male (This is BT's original Adoptables entry)
Click a letter to see another picture [a] [b] [c] [d] [e] [f] BT is long and lanky. When he is running, he jumps, flops, and twists. He loves to be loved, likes to play with toys, and likes to wrestle with his doggy friends. BT loves every one he meets. Unfortunately, he has had some bad luck in his past.

BT was hit by a car, and suffered a broken hind leg, but he was never taken to see a vet. Ivins animal control took him back into the shelter when they heard about his bad living conditions. He was seen by Dr. Mike at Best Friends, who preformed surgery on BT's leg. He can still use it, and it does not seem to hurt him. It definitely does not stop him from running and playing!

BT is 2 years old, and was born in the Ivins shelter. He is a tall dog and weighs 60-65lbs. He would be great with children, any dog, and any person who could give him love, playtime, and long walks or short runs. He is a goofy dog with an outgoing personality. BT comes when called and doesn't stray too far from the pack.

Sheba: Yellow Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever (mix) large/young/female (This is Sheba's original Adoptables entry)
Click a letter to see another picture [g] [h] [i] Sheba is 10 months old, weighs 50lbs, and is full grown. She is very well mannered for a pup her age, chews on her own toys, wrestles with other dogs, and can be very calm in the house. She enjoys running off leash, will fetch her ball, and play with her owner. At the end of the day, Sheba will curl up next her owner for a long nap. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands.

If Sheba gets the proper exercise she will be a very good pup. Daily runs and play time with her owner and other dogs is a must. Sheba would be excellent with children of all ages! She is gentle and does not get too rough or crazy during play time. She needs to have another dog in the house for play. At night, she will sleep in her crate, on her owner's bed, or on her dog bed.

Sheba is easy to love, easy to handle, and is at the perfect adopting age.
